At The Great Big Tree Climbing Company we want our Climbers to feel safe at all times. Each climber will be fitted with a harness and rope, which is securely fastened to the tree. All climbers will have constant supervision from our Trainers and will be instructed throughout the climb.

We also provide additional tree climbing gear such as safety helmets, gloves and clear spectacles if needed.

We are currently in discussions with other tree climbing companies in the UK, as we are hoping to form a regulatory body to ensure the safety of all climbers across the UK – we’ll keep you posted!

We’re passionate about Trees

At The Great Big Tree Climbing Company, we’re passionate about Trees and the environment, so we want to ensure that the trees we use in our activities are not damaged in any way.

We climb the tree by using ropes and a harness. The ropes are tied against the tree to ensure there is no rubbing or damage to the tree. We’re Tree Surgeons by trade, so we know how to handle a tree.

We also ensure all wildlife is protected whilst we go about our activities.

There is something truly amazing about getting outdoors and up in the branches of a beautiful tree; some of our activities take place in areas of outstanding natural beauty and the thrill of the view from the top will leave you feeling alive and invigorated.

What to wear

We recommend you wear long comfortable trousers and a long sleeve top to avoid getting scratched. Footwear should have a good grip, such as trainers or walking boots. Might be worth bringing a waterproof along for the great British weather!
