The Big Tree Climbing Co.

We are an extreme activity company that specialises in recreational tree climbing where we teach individuals, families, corporate team building groups to climb BIG trees using rope and harness. They then ascend by zip line and we also dare them to do the BIG LEAP – a giant swing.

This summer we will be operating a number of events (5 days a week) around the National Trust grounds in Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire and we need to recruit you to become an instructor.

We provide the training, all you need to be is outgoing, someone with good sense of humour, able to work with children as well as adults, with lots of energy so that you can bring fun and personality into the events. You will also be working at height and while we can help you deal with heights you need to be willing and have a ‘can do attitude’.

We have previously hired Bournemouth University students, signed off placement weeks and currently employ one student on placement year as a trainee manager.

This will be throughout the school summer holidays 2012, 5 days a week including Saturdays and some Sundays. Additionally there will be the opportunity of events prior to and after the school summer holidays. We have been having great fun helping National Trust South Somerset get The Swing project up and running.

So many different styles of swings in four different National Trust properties including Montacute House, Tintinhull Garden, Barrington Court and not least Lytes Cary.
